Below you'll find my last five years of golf scores graphed out. Because I'm no where near being a scratch golfer, I've netted my scores against bogey golf. That is, I've taken 18 shots off each score. So for example, if I shot a 90 on a part 72, my net plot below would be 0. Or if I shot an 80 on a par 71 (which I did last year by the way), my net plot would be a -9. I do this because my goal is to simply shoot bogey golf every time out.

You'll also notice that I've added in a trend line for 2008 and took off the one from last year. I didn't add trend lines for the other years ('04 - '07) because when adding them the graph starts to look like my cluttered room at home. But what I found interesting is in each year, my trend line's slope is negative. That means that as the year goes on, I continue to get better. This "trend" of getting better throughout the summer shows up every year.

While I got out more in 2008 (remember we had a baby in August 2007, which cut down my playing), my overall scores were better in 2007. I got new clubs in '08 so I'm blaming them....
